China Visa application and requirements

Valid passport (at least 6 months), filled visa application form, hotel and flight confirmation (also return ticket), and a photograph are indispensable documents when applying for Chinese visa. The picture must be stick onto the proper place in the application form.

Chinese visa photo should contain the characteristics of a biometric photo, which allows to verify the identity of a person, according to the mouth shape or eyes space. The obligatory picture size is 3,5 x 4,5 cm. The photo should be taken against plain and uniform background in white or grey color. The person in the photo should face the camera with neutral face expression. Chinese authorities do not accept photos with the image of a person in covered head. One should have both eyes open, mouth closed, and the hairline should be clear and not covered with jewellery or hair. The officials recommend submitting the picture that has been taken within last 6 months.
